Caldwell Bennett Inc (C.B.I Professional Wiring Systems) is a leading provider of connectivity products for the professional audio and entertainment industries. Established in 1981 in Rome, NY, CBI manufactures and distributes products to a variety of customers worldwide. All positions listed below are full time, business hours are Monday – Friday working in our Oriskany, NY facility.

We are seeking to fill up to 5 immediate FULL TIME openings in the following positions:

Inside Sales Account Executive

This position will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities by closing pre-qualified, warm leads passed on by Sales Development and Marketing Team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will require a high emphasis on candidate’s ability to close a per-determined quota of new accounts each month
  • A steady stream of Pre-qualified leads and dealer inquiries will be provided
  • Learn and demonstrate over time an understanding of CBI catalog of products
  • Work within a team structure to maintain lasting and growing relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Represent the company at outside events (i.e. trade shows, conferences, customer meetings) as requested by management
  • Uphold CBI’s high-level standard of integrity and customer service in the industry

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Demonstrated success of meeting and exceeding annual sales goals
  • Skilled at identifying decision-makers and building strong relationships
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Must be comfortable speaking on the phone and in person.
  • Strong consultative selling, listening, and writing skills

Business Development Representative / Sales Assistant

This position will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, organizing, and communicating with new business opportunities passed on from Marketing, to prepare a steady stream of sales-qualified leads for our Sales Account Executives. The individual will also provide clerical support within the sales and marketing team to process orders, send out marketing materials, and follow up with prospects.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will require a high emphasis on candidate’s ability to qualify and provide a quota of new sales leads each month
  • Develop and manage a qualified list of prospective customers from leads provided from Marketing
  • Learn and demonstrate understanding of CBI catalog of products
  • Work within a team structure to maintain lasting and growing relationships with current and prospective customers
  • Engage prospects by e-mail and phone daily, communicating specific information as needed to increase the customer’s knowledge of available products
  • Provide Administrative assistance as needed in a variety of tasks for sales and marketing team members 
  • Represent the company at outside events (i.e. trade shows, conferences, customer meetings) as requested by management

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated success of meeting and exceeding specified goals
  • Skilled at identifying decision-makers and quickly building relationships
  • Organization and communication with a large base of contacts is critical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Friendly and helpful customer service and business relationship skills 

Quality Assurance and Compliance Engineer 

This position will report to executive management and be responsible for reviewing and creating new procedures and testing for quality control, ensuring CBI remains compliant with all safety and compliance programs throughout the factory, as well as design and implementation of new product assemblies.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality Assurance and Testing procedures
  • Documentation and Compliance
  • Safety Management and OSHA 
  • Technical support for Sales and Marketing
  • Ability to wear several hats within a small manufacturing company

DESIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in a Electrical Engineering Tech or similar field. 
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including technical writing
  • Experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to establish written procedures and train others in their implementation
  • Outstanding record keeping skills
  • Fluent and adaptable in daily use of computer and relevant software
